High CVSS 8.6

CVE-2026-72793

NVD analysis in progress

SiYuan versions before v3.7.4 fail to mask sensitive configuration fields in the /api/system/getConf endpoint, allowing anonymous or publish-reader users to obtain the session-cookie signing key, OS username via pandoc path, and encrypted-notebook key material. Attackers can forge and tamper with session cookies to impersonate users, and on instances without access-auth codes configured, escalate to administrator privileges.

What this means

Exposure
Exploitable remotely over the network, without authentication and with no action from the victim.
Impact
An attacker can read sensitive data. The impact spreads beyond the vulnerable component into other parts of the system.
Weakness
Credentials are stored without adequate protection.
Likelihood
Its EPSS score stays low: nothing points to imminent exploitation, which is no reason to leave it unpatched.

What to doFold into the next patch cycle. Start with the instances exposed to the internet.
