CVE-2026-53425Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity vulnerability in dropbox samly allows an attacker to establish an authenticated session using a SAML response the service provider never requested.
Samly.SPHandler.validate_authresp/3 in lib/samly/sp_handler.ex validates a SAML response for the SP-initiated flow by comparing only the RelayState value, the IdP identifier, and the presence of a target URL held in the session. It never compares SubjectConfirmationData/@InResponseTo against the ID of the AuthnRequest the service provider issued, and that request ID is never persisted, so no comparison is possible. SAML 2.0 Core section 4.1.4.3 requires a service provider to reject a response whose InResponseTo does not match a request it made. The underlying esaml library checks status, signature, recipient, audience, and staleness, but likewise never inspects InResponseTo, so nothing else closes the gap. Exploitation requires a validly signed assertion from the trusted IdP, which an attacker can obtain for their own account, and a RelayState matching the victim's session; the assertion signature itself remains intact, so this is not a signature-forgery issue.
This issue affects samly: from 0.3.0 onward.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.6 CVE-2026-66787A flaw was found in the lighthouse component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes. This vulnerability stems from insufficient validation of advertised IP addresses within EndpointSlice objects. A compromised spoke cluster can exploit this by creating EndpointSlices with attacker-controlled IP addresses, causing other clusters' lighthouse DNS to redirect legitimate service traffic to malicious endpoints. This enables a remote attacker to conduct transparent Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacks on cross-cluster service communications, potentially leading to unauthorized information disclosure and data manipulation.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 8.7 CVE-2026-76245stigmem (pip package stigmem-node) version 0.9.0a1 contains a timestamp-handling mismatch in federation peer-token validation that can cause valid peer tokens to be incorrectly treated as expired. This affects the availability and reliability of authenticated federation flows on nodes using federation peer authentication paths. The issue is fixed in 0.9.0a2, which uses the canonical millisecond-based validation path.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.1 CVE-2026-50575BetterDesk is a remote desktop management solution. BetterDesk versions through 2.3.0 improperly invalidate deleted device identities, allowing an unauthenticated client to replay or spoof a device ID and bypass registration controls. Version 3.0.0-alpha contains a patch. No known workarounds are available.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.7 CVE-2026-18674On a Kong Mesh global control plane, resources received over the zone-to-global KDS sync are attributed using the in-band, sender-controlled ControlPlane.Identifier rather than the authenticated zone identity derived from the connection. Authenticated zones can have the global control plane store and re-distribute those resources as belonging to another zone.
The result is a cross-zone isolation bypass: the holder of a single enrolled zone's credential can inject, attribute, and overwrite resources in another zone's namespace mesh-wide.
The root cause lives in Kuma's open-source KDS sync code, which Kong Mesh's control plane is built on.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7 CVE-2026-74875openssl_encrypt versions before 1.4.0 silently skip JSON schema validation when the jsonschema library is not installed, allowing malformed metadata to be accepted. Attackers can remove the jsonschema package or supply unknown metadata format versions to bypass all schema checks and process malicious data.NVD analysis in progress Critical CVSS 9.8 CVE-2026-74882openssl_encrypt versions before 1.4.0 contain an insecure default configuration that trusts the entire RFC 1918 private address space in IntegrityProxyConfig trusted_proxies. Attackers on private networks can forge client certificate headers to bypass mTLS authentication when ProxyAuth validation is relaxed or modified.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.5 CVE-2026-28185Unauthenticated Broken Authentication in Log in with Google <= 1.4.2 versions. Critical CVSS 9.8 CVE-2025-59323CPSD CryptoPro Secure Disk for Bitlocker before v7.7.4 fails to validate the integrity of the DataStore, a non-partitioned filesystem, responsible for storing configuration and cryptographic details. Crafted DataStore contents can impact service availability and/or allow for code execution in the context of high privilege.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 8.4 CVE-2026-69105An unauthenticated attacker may cause untrusted package content to be cached under specific conditions, potentially affecting artifact integrity and availability.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 8.1 CVE-2026-62869Insufficient verification of data authenticity in Azure Entra ID allows an authorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network.Microsoft Entra Id High CVSS 8.8 CVE-2026-72544An integrity verification vulnerability in OpenSignLabs OpenSign through 2.37.0 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to forge document audit-trail entries via the triggerevent Parse cloud function. The function accepts viewer identity and IP address as caller-supplied parameters without authentication, allowing fabrication of arbitrary audit log entries. An attacker can tamper with the legal audit trail of any signed document, undermining non-repudiation.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.5 CVE-2026-71576A flaw was found in multicluster-global-hub. The manager component improperly validates the source identity of incoming CloudEvents on Kafka status topics. A remote attacker, after compromising a managed hub and obtaining its Kafka client certificate, can manipulate the self-asserted source identity. This allows the attacker to falsify or delete critical data, such as compliance, inventory, and cluster health information, belonging to other hubs in the database.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 8.5 CVE-2026-71965CyberPanel 2.4.3, fixed in commit eca0c3c, contains an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the remote backup feature that allows authenticated attackers to gain root-level SSH access by supplying a malicious remote server address. Attackers can exploit the unverified SSH public key retrieval process to write an attacker-controlled public key directly to /root/.ssh/authorized_keys, granting persistent root access to the host system.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 8.8 CVE-2026-47664Pathling is a set of tools that make it easier to use FHIR and clinical terminology within health data analytics. Prior to version 2.0.0 of Pathling Server, the `$import-pnp` operation in Pathling Server accepts a caller-supplied `exportUrl` and uses it as the remote FHIR Bulk Export endpoint without constraining it to a trusted source. When PNP credentials are configured, Pathling builds a credentialed bulk-export client targeting the caller-chosen host, downloads manifest-selected files, and then reclassifies those staged files as trusted local `file://` imports - bypassing the configured `allowableSources` allowlist that protects the ordinary `$import` operation. This is fixed in Pathling Server 2.0.0. As a workaround, disable the `$import-pnp` operation (`pathling.operations.importPnpEnabled=false`) or do not configure PNP credentials.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 8.6 CVE-2026-58262Klever-Go is the Go implementation of the Klever blockchain protocol. Prior to 1.7.20, header signature verification counts the unused padding bits of the PubKeysBitmap toward the two-thirds validator quorum. These padding bits do not correspond to any validator and are ignored by the actual BLS aggregate-signature check, so a malicious or compromised block producer can set them to reach the required quorum while gathering fewer genuine validator signatures than the protocol demands. As a result, nodes that import or intercept the header accept it as correctly signed without a real two-thirds quorum, weakening consensus safety and undermining finality. This issue is fixed in version 1.7.20.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.1 CVE-2026-10599The Integrate PhonePe with WooCommerce WordPress plugin through 1.2.1 does not validate that a verified payment transaction belongs to the order being marked as paid, nor does it verify the authenticity of its payment-completion request, allowing unauthenticated attackers to reuse a single valid transaction to mark arbitrary orders as paid and bypass payment.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.5 CVE-2026-63687Apache CXF's JwtRequestCodeFilter copies all claims from a signed request JWT into the authorization parameter map without excluding security-sensitive parameters. A client that can produce a validly-signed request JWT (e.g., one whose client_secret is known or compromised) can thereby substitute the code_challenge, code_challenge_method, nonce, and state values that were set in the outer HTTP request, undermining PKCE integrity and OpenID Connect replay protection. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.3 or 4.1.8 or 3.6.12, which fix this issue.Apache Cxf Critical CVSS 9.1 CVE-2026-65583Apache CXF’s OIDC relying-party token validation could accept self-issued ID tokens without enforcing required claim checks (issuer/subject/audience/time and sub_jwk binding), enabling authentication bypass with crafted tokens. However, note that self-issued ID tokens are not accepted by default in the validator. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.3 or 4.1.8 or 3.6.12, which fixes this issue.Apache Cxf Critical CVSS 9.1 CVE-2026-18248@fastify/aws-lambda version 6.4.0 decorates each Fastify request with request.awsLambda.event and request.awsLambda.context, values that applications are documented to use for authorization decisions such as reading API Gateway authorizer claims. In the default configuration, the getter that populates this decoration reads the client-controlled x-apigateway-event and x-apigateway-context HTTP headers before falling back to the trusted internal request token, and those reserved headers are not stripped from the incoming event. An unauthenticated attacker who can set a single HTTP header can therefore forge the entire Lambda proxy event, including the authorizer context, and override the genuine one. This results in a full authentication and authorization bypass and privilege escalation for any application that trusts request.awsLambda.event for identity or access control. Only version 6.4.0 is affected. Patches: upgrade to @fastify/aws-lambda 6.4.1, which resolves the decoration only through the internal per-invocation token and strips the reserved headers before the request is processed.NVD analysis in progress Critical CVSS 9.1 CVE-2026-48063Baileys is a cocket-based TS/JavaScript API for WhatsApp Web. In versions prior to both 6.7.22 and 7.0.0-rc12, any Baileys session can be sent a malicious payload via the placeholderResendMessage and trigger a fake messages.upsert event with a fake message key and payload. This allows anyone to spoof messages. The same exploit also allows an attacker to corrupt the app state sync system by sending fake key shares, and also allows for history sync spoofing which also serves the same problem, injecting fake previous context or "on-demand" sync. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.7.22 and 7.0.0-rc12.NVD analysis in progress Critical CVSS 9.3 CVE-2026-59641In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.85, S/MIME validator trusts signer-asserted signingTime for path validation. This issue also affects Bouncy Castle for Java LTS before 2.73.12, and Bouncy Castle for Java FIPS (BC-FJA) before bcmail-fips and bcjmail-fips 1.0.7 (1.0.X series), 2.0.7 (2.0.X series) and 2.1.7 (2.1.X series).NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 8.7 CVE-2026-10079A flaw was found in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes (RHACS). When processing Kubernetes Deployments, ACS replaces deployment identity metadata based on the openshift.io/encoded-deployment-config label. A user with permission to create Deployments can set this label to "null", causing ACS to treat the workload as having empty UID, name and labels and namespace "default". This bypasses deploy-time policy detection and enforcement visibility, prevents correct persistence in Central and breaks violation reporting and compliance correlation for the affected deployment.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 8.5 CVE-2026-59247Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity vulnerability in Gleam allows an adversary in the middle to substitute forged Hex package contents during dependency resolution.
During dependency resolution Gleam fetches package metadata from the signature-verified Hex repository, which covers each release's dependency requirements and SHA-256 outer_checksum. After resolving versions, gleam_cli::dependencies::lookup_package makes a second request to the unsigned Hex API through gleam_core::hex::get_package_release and records the outer_checksum and dependency names from that JSON response into manifest.toml, instead of the values from the verified repository metadata. The Hex repository signature does not cover the API response.
An adversary in the middle who can intercept TLS with a certificate trusted by the Gleam process (for example a TLS-inspecting proxy using a CA in the operating system trust store or added through GLEAM_CACERTS_PATH), and who can modify both the API release response and the corresponding repository tarball, can supply a package archive with a matching forged checksum without the Hex repository signing key. Gleam verifies the forged tarball against the forged checksum, accepts it, and extracts it as a dependency source, resulting in loss of integrity of the downloaded package contents.
Only projects that resolve or update Hex dependencies are affected, which happens when the manifest is missing, a dependency is added or updated, or dependency requirements change. Builds that reuse an unchanged, known-good manifest.toml continue to verify tarballs against its pinned checksum. This issue affects gleam: from 0.18.0 before 1.18.0. High CVSS 7.6 CVE-2026-12383A flaw was found in the Event-Driven Ansible (EDA) server. The ExternalEventStreamViewSet uses permissive access controls (permission_classes=[AllowAny], authentication_classes=[]) and relies solely on the Subject HTTP header value for mTLS authentication without verifying that the header originated from a trusted proxy. Additionally, the expected certificate Distinguished Name is leaked in the 403 error response body. An attacker who can reach the EDA API endpoint with a spoofed Subject header can inject arbitrary events into mTLS-protected event streams, triggering downstream automation actions.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.5 CVE-2026-15612Logto bypasses OIDC nonce validation when the nonce claim is absent from the id_token, enabling replay of authentication tokens and weakening session-binding. Critical CVSS 9.1 CVE-2026-15615Logto omits validation of the SAML <Conditions> element, enabling attackers to strip time and audience restrictions and replay assertions indefinitely. High CVSS 7.5 CVE-2026-52688RRSIGs with too few labels can lead to bypass of DNSSEC wildcard validationNVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.5 CVE-2026-44690In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.7.0 up to and including 1.25.1, insufficient validation of the RRSIG.Labels field combined with premature cache writes during RFC 8198 aggressive NSEC processing leads to cache poisoning that permits a malicious actor controlling a single delegated zone to poison arbitrary sibling zones under NSEC-signed parent domains. A malicious actor with one registered domain under an NSEC-signed TLD can serve malicious insecure DNS responses for unrelated sibling domains (sharing the same parent zone). Arbitrary delegations that do not exist under the parent domain and are covered by the parent's NSEC chain can be brought into insecure existence by fraudulent wildcard DS records (less labels than expected, unknown algorithm) from the malicious sibling domain. This allows the malicious actor to inject insecure wildcard records for those delegations.Nlnetlabs Unbound High CVSS 7.5 CVE-2026-49212Symfony UX is a JavaScript ecosystem for Symfony. From 2.8.0 until 2.36.0 and 3.1.0, the HMAC computed by Symfony\UX\LiveComponent\LiveComponentHydrator covered only sorted prop key/value pairs and did not include the component name, the slot identifier (props vs propsFromParent), or request context, allowing a signed blob minted for one component or slot to be replayed in another and set a read-only prop on a target component. This issue is fixed in versions 2.36.0 and 3.1.0.Symfony Ux High CVSS 7.5 CVE-2026-49284SimpleSAMLphp versions before 1.18.6 contain an information disclosure vulnerability. Prior to 2.4.7 and 2.5.2, SimpleSAMLphp's SAML SP ACS path does not enforce the IdP selected for an SP-initiated login when unsigned Response/InResponseTo is combined with a signed assertion lacking SubjectConfirmationData/InResponseTo, allowing a response issued by one trusted IdP to be bound to SP state created for another IdP and bypass flows that route users to a specific IdP, including deployments that set enable_unsolicited to false. This issue is fixed in versions 2.4.7 and 2.5.2.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 7.1 CVE-2026-54496ZEBRA is a Zcash node written entirely in Rust. Prior to zebrad 5.0.0, halo2_gadgets 0.5.0, orchard 0.14.0, zcash_primitives 0.28.0, and zcashd 6.20.0, the variable-base scalar multiplication gadget in halo2_gadgets/src/ecc/chip/mul/incomplete.rs used assign_advice() for the base point without a copy constraint tying it to the actual base, allowing a malicious prover to produce a valid proof for an Orchard Action with an under-constrained base point and bypass the diversified-address-integrity check that binds pk_d, g_d, ivk, the nullifier (nf), and the spend validating key (ak) to the note being spent. This issue is fixed in zebrad 5.0.0, halo2_gadgets 0.5.0, orchard 0.14.0, zcash_primitives 0.28.0, and zcashd 6.20.0. Critical CVSS 9.3 CVE-2026-62215OpenClaw versions before 2026.6.5 contain an authentication bypass vulnerability in HTTP Canvas responses that allows lower-trust callers to forge trusted A2UI actions. Attackers can perform actions requiring stronger authorization by submitting crafted requests through configured input paths, bypassing intended policy checks.Openclaw High CVSS 8 CVE-2026-63094SigNoz before 0.134.0 contains an open redirect vulnerability in the SSO authentication flow that allows unauthenticated attackers to steal session tokens from any user on instances configured with Google OAuth, SAML, or OIDC. Attackers can call the unauthenticated sessions context endpoint with a ref parameter pointing to an attacker-controlled host, deliver the resulting crafted login URL to a victim, and receive the victim's access and refresh tokens when they complete SSO authentication. High CVSS 8.1 CVE-2026-45337Better Auth is an authentication and authorization library for TypeScript. From 1.6.0 until 1.6.11, the deviceAuthorization plugin treats any authenticated session as the owner of any pending device code because GET /device does not claim the row and POST /device/approve and POST /device/deny short-circuit when userId is unset, allowing an authenticated attacker who learns a valid user_code to bind the polling device to the attacker's account or deny the legitimate flow. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.11.Better-auth Better Auth High CVSS 7.6 CVE-2026-48799Postiz is an AI social media scheduling tool. Prior to 2.21.8, Postiz fails to verify Nowpayments IPN callback authenticity against the payment provider shared secret and reads the target subscription identifier from the untrusted request body, allowing a low-privileged account to grant arbitrary organizations lifetime PRO subscriptions without payment. This issue is fixed in version 2.21.8. High CVSS 7.7 CVE-2026-53512Better Auth is an authentication and authorization library for TypeScript. Prior to 1.6.11, the legacy oidcProvider and mcp plugins expose OAuth token endpoints whose refresh_token grant authenticates only possession of the bound refreshToken row and matching client_id, without verifying the confidential client's client_secret, allowing an attacker with a valid refresh_token to mint access tokens and rotated refresh tokens through /api/auth/oauth2/token or /api/auth/mcp/token. The @better-auth/oauth-provider package is not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.11.Better-auth Better Auth Critical CVSS 9.1 CVE-2026-53513Better Auth is an authentication and authorization library for TypeScript. Prior to 1.6.11, the @better-auth/sso plugin's POST /sso/register and POST /sso/update-provider endpoints accept attacker-controlled oidcConfig.userInfoEndpoint, tokenEndpoint, and jwksEndpoint URLs when skipDiscovery: true is set, store them on the ssoProvider row without origin validation, and fetch them during OIDC callback, allowing non-blind server-side request forgery and possible account linking when trustEmailVerified: true is configured. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.11.Better-auth Better-auth\/sso Critical CVSS 9.6 CVE-2026-53514Better Auth is an authentication and authorization library for TypeScript. Prior to 1.6.11, and in 1.6.14 and later when invitation IDs can be obtained outside the invited mailbox and requireEmailVerificationOnInvitation: true is not enabled, the organization plugin's acceptInvitation, rejectInvitation, getInvitation, and listUserInvitations recipient endpoints use session.user.email and an invitation ID without sufficient verified-email ownership proof, allowing a user with an unverified session for the invited email address to accept an organization invitation after obtaining the invitation ID. This issue is fixed for the original default behavior in version 1.6.11, while 1.6.14 restored compatibility for built-in opaque invitation IDs and leaves affected configurations requiring secure options.Better-auth Better Auth High CVSS 7.7 CVE-2026-53516Better Auth is an authentication and authorization library for TypeScript. Prior to 1.6.11, Better Auth's OAuth callback auto-link gate in handleOAuthUserInfo accepts implicit account linking when the OAuth provider asserts email_verified: true without requiring the local user row's emailVerified field to also be true, allowing an attacker who pre-registers a victim email through /sign-up/email to bind the victim's OAuth identity to the attacker's account. The same primitive affects one-tap, and emailAndPassword.requireEmailVerification: true does not mitigate the link-time verification change. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.11.Better-auth Better Auth High CVSS 8.3 CVE-2026-45069Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Prior to 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, OidcTokenHandler::verifyClaims() registered audience (aud), issuer (iss), and expiry (exp) checkers but did not pass the mandatory claims list to ClaimCheckerManager::check(), so a validly signed JWT that omitted those claims could pass verification. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12.Sensiolabs Symfony Critical CVSS 9.1 CVE-2026-47304Improper verification of cryptographic signature in .NET allows an unauthorized attacker to bypass a security feature over a network.Microsoft .net Framework Critical CVSS 9.8 CVE-2026-47737Puma is a Ruby/Rack web server built for parallelism. From 5.5.0 until 7.2.1 and 8.0.2, Puma is vulnerable to source IP spoofing when set_remote_address proxy_protocol: :v1 is enabled and persistent connections are used because Puma incorrectly re-parses PROXY protocol headers after each keep-alive request on the same connection, allowing an attacker to inject a second PROXY header and overwrite REMOTE_ADDR. This issue is fixed in versions 7.2.1 and 8.0.2. High CVSS 7.5 CVE-2026-9561Eclipse Kura versions prior to 5.6.2 trust the client-supplied X-Forwarded-For HTTP header as the authoritative source of the client IP address in audit log entries. The org.eclipse.kura.web2 (Web Console) and org.eclipse.kura.rest.provider (REST API) components use this header as the primary IP source when initializing audit context, and org.eclipse.kura.jetty.customizer unconditionally installs Jetty's ForwardedRequestCustomizer on all HTTP/HTTPS connectors, causing HttpServletRequest.getRemoteAddr() to reflect the attacker-controlled header value. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to bypass IP-based brute-force protections — such as fail2ban — by spoofing the logged IP address to a non-routable value, allowing a brute-force attack to proceed undetected, or to cause a denial of service against a third party by injecting a victim's IP address and triggering a ban on that address.NVD analysis in progress High CVSS 8.8 CVE-2026-55883Tilt defines dev environments as code for microservice apps on Kubernetes. From 0.24.0 through 0.37.3, the Tilt HUD WebSocket at /ws/view is gated by a CSRF token, but the token is served by the unauthenticated /api/websocket_token endpoint and the upgrader accepts clients that omit an Origin header. When the HUD is network-exposed, an attacker who can reach the listener can open the HUD WebSocket and receive the full view stream, including session state, Tiltfile contents, resource statuses, and continued updates. This issue is fixed in version 0.37.4. High CVSS 8.3 CVE-2026-54774CoreWCF is a port of the service side of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to .NET Core. Prior to 1.8.1 and 1.9.1, SamlSerializer skips final SignatureValue verification when a CoreWCF service validates SAML tokens using a non-X.509 signing token, allowing an attacker to reference a non-X.509 SecurityToken key identifier and bypass assertion signature verification. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.1 and 1.9.1. High CVSS 7.4 CVE-2026-54781CoreWCF is a port of the service side of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to .NET Core. Prior to 1.8.1 and 1.9.1, CoreWCF SAML token validation does not enforce SubjectConfirmation method URIs or holder-of-key proof keys in SamlSecurityTokenHandler, allowing holder-of-key downgrade or custom confirmation method assertions to authenticate a subject without proving authority over the assertion. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.1 and 1.9.1. High CVSS 7.4 CVE-2026-54783CoreWCF is a port of the service side of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to .NET Core. Prior to 1.8.1 and 1.9.1, CoreWCF WS-Security endorsing and supporting signature verification does not ensure the selected ds:Signature covers the expected Security header target, allowing an attacker with one captured signed SOAP envelope to replay arbitrary service operations as the victim principal. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.1 and 1.9.1. High CVSS 7.4 CVE-2026-54763Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Prior to v2.11.51, v3.6.22, and v3.7.6, Traefik's BasicAuth, DigestAuth, and ForwardAuth middlewares strip canonical-cased spoofed identity headers before writing Traefik's own value, but do not account for underscore-variant header names, which many backends normalize identically to dashed forms. An attacker able to reach a protected route can inject an underscore-variant header that survives Traefik's stripping and reaches the backend alongside, or on the unauthenticated ForwardAuth authResponseHeaders path instead of, the value Traefik intended to set, spoofing identity or authorization context. This issue is fixed in versions v2.11.51, v3.6.22, and v3.7.6.Traefik Critical CVSS 10 CVE-2026-50195containerd is an open-source container runtime. Versions prior to 2.3.2, 2.2.5 and 2.1.9 contain a vulnerability in the CRI checkpoint import process where it fails to validate the image references specified within a checkpoint image's configuration. An attacker with permissions to create pods can use a crafted checkpoint image to force containerd to pull a malicious image and assign it an arbitrary local tag, thereby poisoning the node's local image cache. Subsequently, if other pods on the same node attempt to use the poisoned tag with an IfNotPresent (or Never) pull policy, they will unknowingly execute the attacker's malicious image instead of the legitimate one. This can lead to a compromise of the affected pods, allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary code under the victim pod's identity. This issue has been fixed in versions 2.3.2, 2.2.5 and 2.1.9.Linuxfoundation Containerd Critical CVSS 9.9 CVE-2026-58593NodeBB does not bind the claimed author of an inbound ActivityPub object to the authenticated remote actor. The inbound middleware verifies the HTTP-signature actor and checks the origin of object.id, but never validates that attributedTo corresponds to the sender. In the object mock, attributedTo is used directly as a uid, and actors.assert silently ignores numeric identifiers (filtering them out without re-deriving the uid), so a federated remote actor can set attributedTo to a bare numeric value such as 1 and have the resulting post or private message created with that local uid as author, including the administrator account. This lets a remote attacker forge posts and direct messages attributed to arbitrary local users. Requires the ActivityPub/federation feature to be enabled.Nodebb High CVSS 7.5
